Here’s a press release from Memphis Made:

Memphis Made Brewing Starts Hitting the Bottle

Starting Saturday, fans of Memphis Made Brewing Co. will be able to enjoy this local beer a new way: in large bottles.

The small brewery in Cooper Young will be releasing a hand bottled, limited edition batch of Reverberation in 750 milliliter bottles.

Reverberation is a Belgian coffee stout that has served as one of the strictly-seasonal brewery’s winter offerings. We use freshly roasted coffee through a collaboration with Memphis-based Reverb Coffee Co.

The beers will debut at another local business, the Madison Growler and Bottle Shop, located inside the Cash Saver at 1620 Madison.

The Madison Growler opens at 10 a.m. Saturday and will start selling these bottles at noon.

“We are thrilled to be a part of the launch,” Taylor James, Beer Manager at Cash Saver, said. “As a local business it is great that we are able to support a local brewery. This is also the first time in Memphis that a brewery has had a limited release of a 750 milliliter bottle in a grocery store, another first we’re proud to hang our hat on.”

Whole Foods Market in East Memphis will also carry this small batch brew early next week, making it one of two places you can get this brew.

Next week, Memphis Made will be releasing its second bottled beer, Southern Julep, to coincide with Memphis Beer Week.

This Belgian style brown ale is brewed with fresh mint and aged with American oak.

It will have a wider distribution than the Reverberation.

Memphis Made also plans to commit random acts of bottling.

“Since we opened last October, people have been asking us how they can take our beer to go,” Andy Ashby, co-founder of Memphis Made, said. “We’ve always directed them to some of the great growler operations around town, but now they have another option for drinking our beer. It’s all about giving people more choices.”

Adam Shellabarger, a designer with with Midtown design and advertising firm Combustion and a Cooper-Young resident, designed the labels for Memphis Made’s bottles.
