Cooper-Young Regional Beer Festival will have more beers, new location for 2013 event

Cooper-Young Regional BeerfestThe Cooper-Young Regional Beer Festival will have more brewers, more beer and a new location for the upcoming 2013 event.

The 4th annual beer fest will be held at Midtown Autowerks, 795 S. Cooper, on a spacious 2+ acres of property in the shadow of the iconic Cooper-Young trestle.

More than a dozen brewers have already committed, meaning this year’s festival is shaping up to be the biggest yet. New brewers from Missouri, Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee have committed to pour their beers.

Tickets for this year’s event go on sale this Friday, September 13. Buy them online at cybeerfest.org. You can also buy tickets at the Cooper-Young Community Association booth at the Cooper-Young Festival on Saturday. Tickets are $35 per person in advance or $40 at the gate, if any tickets remain.

The Midtown beer festival features craft beers from breweries within a day’s drive of Memphis, as well as some of the best homebrew around.
