The results are in for the 2013 Bluff City Brewers Extravaganza, the 25th annual Memphis homebrew contest sponsored by the Bluff City Brewers & Connoisseurs.

The competition drew 286 entries from 117 brewers. Final judging took place Saturday at Boscos.

“Best of Show” winners were →

First place: Jeff Bergman, of the Music City Brewers, won for his “Big Saison” in category 16C (Saison).

Second place: Ben Pugh, of the Memphis Brewers Association, won for his “FnA Orange Blossom Mead” in category 24C (Sweet Mead).

Third place:  Nate Nowak, a FuzzyBrew contributor and Bluff City Brewers member, took the final spot with his “Old Kerfuffle” in category 19A (Old Ale). Nate previously won second place in the American Homebrewers Association Club-Only Competition last November for the Old Kerfuffle.

Congrats to all the Memphis winners! And a special shout-out to our buddy Ryan Williams, who just started brewing this past year and won second place in the Light Hybrid category for his “Gumballhead Clone.”
