Tennessee Brewer's SummitThe first-ever Brewer’s Summit in Knoxville on Friday will bring together brewers from across Tennessee and the folks who like to drink their beers.

The summit, starting at 6:30 p.m. at Bearden Banquet Hall, is an event to raise funds for the newly founded Tennessee Craft Brewer’s Guild, which was formed to promote the craft beer industry and raise awareness about the state’s beer laws.

The event will include a beer lover’s social hour, beer tastings, appetizers, a beer & cheer pairing, and a brewer’s table discussion with representatives from Smokey Mountain Brewing, SawWorks Brewing, Yazoo Brewing Company, Moccasin Bend Brewing and Studio Brew.

Tickets for the event are $45 and be purchased online.

For more information on the summit, the Knoxville News Sentinel published a nice story Sunday and Knox Beer Snobs has a great post up about it.
