East Nashville Beer Festival logoTennessee is getting another beer festival with the inaugural East Nashville Beer Festival set for April 9.

The festival, which expects to have 35-40 craft breweries represented (see what’s listed so far here), will be held from noon to 5 p.m. at the East Bank Greenway, 50 Titans Way.

Tickets are on sale now and cost $35.

Attendees will get a souvenir sampling glass, unlimited samples and a goodie bag. The festival will also feature live music, various vendors and a beer education area.

Nashville’s Ride for Reading will receive 50 percent of net ticket sale profits. The nonprofit promotes literacy and healthy living through the distribution of books via bicycle to children from low-income areas.

Ride for Reading will be hosting a book drive at the festival, and anyone who brings two lightly used or new children’s books will be entered into a drawing for a pair of weekend passes to the 2011 Great American Beer Festival in Denver, which is Sept. 29-Oct. 1.
