FuzzyBrew had quite an excellent time yesterday at the Memphis Brewfest Winter Warmer. We’ll have complete coverage throughout the week, but for now I’ll leave you with this FuzzyBrew video review of Big Sky Brewing Company’s Powder Hound, a winter ale.

UPDATE, 1/4/11: The window for purchasing the cheaper $33 tickets has been extended. They can be purchased until 10 p.m. Thursday (1/6/11). After that, the price goes up to $36.

In just 11 days, cold beer will be on tap at the Winter Warmer festival in Downtown Memphis.

The beer tasting event, sponsored by Memphis Brewfest, takes place Jan. 15 from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at Memphis Central Station, 545 S. Main (corner of S. Main and G.E. Patterson).

I bought my tickets this weekend, and now’s the time to get them: after Wednesday, the price goes from $33 to $36. Tickets are on sale online or at the Blue Monkey’s Downtown location.

A contingent of brewers from the Bluff City Brewers & Connoisseurs will be serving their homebrews alongside a slew of craft brewers. More than 75 different beers will be poured.

In addition to the tasting, a limited number of rare beers will be auctioned off. The events benefits Cure Duchenne.

Full-bodied holiday and winter seasonal beers from commercial brewers and Memphis homebrewers will be featured at Memphis Brewfest‘s Winter Warmer festival on Jan. 15.

The tasting event takes place from 4:3o to 7 p.m. at Memphis Central Station, 545 S. Main (corner of S. Main and G.E. Patterson).

Tickets are on sale now online and at the Blue Monkey’s Downtown location for $33. After Jan. 5, tickets will be $36. A maximum of 800 will be sold for the event, which benefits Cure Duchenne.

Six homebrewers from the Bluff City Brewers & Connoisseurs will be serving beer at the event: Ben Pugh (Pumpkin Ale), Roger Hall (Coffee Stout), Jeff Kinzer (Raspberry ESB), J.L. Thompson (Oatmeal Stout), Mike Powell (Scottish Ale) and Mike Clements (Prohibition Ale).
