Volunteers are still needed for Zoo Brew, the craft beer tasting event at the Memphis Zoo next week.

The festival needs friendly volunteers who are 21 and over to help pour beer. If you’re interested, email Terry, who’s the volunteer coordinator, and send her your name and phone number.

The event, which is a fundraiser for the zoo, is Friday, May 27, from 7 to 10 p.m.

If you don’t want to volunteer, buy a ticket for Zoo Brew online or by calling 901-333-6767 or 901-333-6572. Tickets are $25 for Zoo members and $30 for non-members. About 3,000 tickets will be sold, and the event is expected to sell out.

I’ve volunteered for a few beer events lately (ex. Brew Movement and River City Brewers Festival), and it’s a lot of fun. You get to talk to people about beer, and you get to sample beer. And you’re volunteering for a good cause. Zoo Brew is a fundraiser for the Memphis Zoo.
