The inaugural Nashville Beer Festival, celebrating craft beer and homebrew, will be held Oct. 1 at Riverfront Park.
The festival will be Saturday from 1 to 6 pm., followed by a concert Saturday night.
There will also be a kickoff event that Friday night, Sept. 30. The Nashville Breweries VIP Event, tentatively scheduled for Riverfront Park, will highlight Nashville area breweries and their beers.
General admission tickets for the festival are $30 and will be available August 1. VIP tickets, which will include entrance to the festival, concert and Friday kick-off, are $50.
About 3,000 to 5,000 people are expected to attend.
A list of participating commercial breweries for the festival is not yet available. The Bluff City Brewers & Connoisseurs, Memphis’ homebrew club, will be sending homebrewers.
The festival is a benefit for the newly formed Tennessee Brewers Advocacy Group, dedicated to promoting and working for breweries and distributors in Tennessee. The festival will also benefit the Tennessee Wildlife Federation.
