Lazy Magnolia Brewing Company logoThe Flying Saucer Draught Emporium in Downtown Memphis will host a beer and dessert pairing event Thursday night with beers from Mississippi’s Lazy Magnolia Brewing Company.

The event starts at 8 p.m. at the Saucer, 130 Peabody Place, and will feature guest speaker Will Mestayer from Lazy Magnolia.

The menu for the evening will consist of five different desserts paired with five Lazy Magnolia brews.

Beer dinners are becoming more and more popular these days, and we wanted to show craft beer fans that beer can be a great partner for dessert as well,” Kirk Caliendo, general manager of Flying Saucer, said in a release.

“With all of the heavy food everyone eats during the holidays, we thought it would be a nice treat to offer guests a chance to enjoy something sweet and fun! Partnering with Lazy Magnolia gives us the chance to showcase a great regional brewery that offers some unique beers that pair perfectly with the desserts we’ve worked up.”

Tickets for the beer dinner are $20 for U.F.O. Club members and $25 for non-members. They can be purchased in person at the downtown Flying Saucer location or by calling 901-523-8536.
