Corona Light has rolled out a pair of rhythmic ads featuring a couple of regular joes whose boring lives get a little unpredictable with help from the Mexican import.

The spots are the latest in Corona’s efforts to appeal to a hipper, younger audience, and the first campaign spearheaded by Goodby Silverstein & Partners taking aim at American beers. “We are trying to get the domestic light drinker to think about his choice and trade up to a Corona Light,” Jim Sabia, executive VP-marketing for Crown Imports, told Advertising Age.

Two 30-second commercials have been released to date, one featuring technology-obsessed Mark and the other featuring workout-nut Stan. The two are trudging through life and routine, but break out of their ruts by cracking open a Corona Light.

Great 80s haircuts kick off this funny spot from New Zealand’s DB Export Dry, which asks the question of the modern man: “Wine list, sir?” Um, no.:

In this video(game) for Tallgrass Brewing Co.’ 8-Bit Pale Ale, the hero must collect the hops and get them back in time to make the next batch of beer!

And then there is this bizarre ad for Flying Dog Brewery’s Wildeman Farmhouse IPA, which Adweek called “the most inexplicable commercial for a new-beer release that you may ever see.”

Yazoo Brewing Company in Nashville is now bottling its historic Gerst Amber Ale. (More info on Gerst is here.)

Check out this video of a Gerst run on April 27. The line puts out about 100-120 cases an hour.

Those of us here at FuzzyBrew are big fans of the UFC. So we were happy to stumble on this “fighter diary” video for UFC veteran Jim Miller, who’s training for the big UFC on Fox fight May 5 against fellow lightweight Nate Diaz.

Turns out Miller is a homebrewer, and brewing beer is “part of his do-it-yourself attitude that helps him succeed in the octagon,” reports The Star-Ledger. Check out the video below of Miller brewing beer in his driveway.
