4th annual River City Brewers Festival is Saturday in Germantown

October 31, 2013 By: mike Category: Craft beer, Events, Memphis

The River City Brewers Festival is moving out east and will be a smaller affair for the fourth annual event this weekend.

The beer tasting event, which benefits the Harwood Center, is being held Saturday at the Mesquite Chop House, 3165 Forest Hill Irene in Germantown, from noon to 4 p.m.

There will be samples of over 30 craft beers and music from Devil Train. Advanced tickets are $30 and can be purchased online.

I don’t have many more details to share. The event’s previous website, rivercitybrewersfestival.com, hasn’t been updated with information about this year’s event. There’s a more current Facebook event page, but not much information is posted.

The River City Brewers Festival was last held in March of 2012 at Beale Street’s Handy Park, which was a great venue for a beer festival. There were over 100 different beers poured, including craft beers and homebrew, over two tasting sessions, so it was a much bigger deal.

If anyone has more info about this year’s event, please share it below in the comments.

  1. I really enjoyed this fest last year and I was bummed when I didn’t hear anything about it earlier this year. That being said, this is the first we’ve heard of it for this year and I’m disappointed the festival organizers didn’t do a better job to promote it.
