‘Hopcoming’ on Nov. 2 in Nashville to raise funds for Tennessee Craft Brewers Guild

October 30, 2012 By: mike Category: Breweries, Craft beer, Events

HopcomingThe “Hopcoming” — a combination beer festival/homecoming dance, minus high schoolers — takes place this Friday (Nov. 2) at Marathon Music Works in Nashville.

The event, featuring beers from Tennessee breweries, is a fundraiser for the new Tennessee Craft Brewers Guild.

Here are the details:

The Tennessee Craft Brewers Guild presents the Hopcoming Dance! Dust off your lapels, tell your mom you’re staying over at Becky’s house, and sample over 30 beers from your very own Tennessee breweries. You’re wondering, will there be a Hopcoming King and Queen? Of course there will be! The first two hours of the event people will be given a list of beers being served, but which brew is which will be kept secret. At 9:00 pm we’ll unveil the identity of the brews and the guy and gal who correctly identify the most will be crowned rulers of Hopcoming!

Festive attire is encouraged (think anything from the Enchantment Under the Sea Dance to Studio 54 to Footloose). This is a 21+ event. Tickets are $40 a person an $70 a couple for the first 100 couples to get tickets.
