The next installment of Zoo Brew, the craft beer tasting event at the Memphis Zoo, is coming up Aug. 31 from 7 to 10 p.m. The Labor Day weekend event will feature regional craft beers, as well as brews from around the globe.
You’ll be able to try Newcastle’s limited-edition ale for the fall season, the Newcastle Werewolf. It’s a “blood-red ale” that’s a collaboration with Caledonian Brewery, one of Scotland’s most famous and traditional breweries. It recently arrived on retail shelves in the Memphis area.
For those looking for something a little different, you can try Crown Valley Brewing’s Strawberry Cider, a strawberry-infused apple cider.
Or for those who like some smoke with their beer, Nashville’s Yazoo Brewing Company is bringing its beer named Sue.
Tickets are $35 for Zoo members and $40 for non-members.
V.I.P. tickets are $55 for members and $60 for non-members. In the Teton Trek V.I.P. Lounge, you’ll get to sample specialty beers, eat at hors d’oeuvres stations and hear presentations from some of the brewers. Tram transportation will be provided to and from the V.I.P. Lounge.
You can order tickets by phone at (901) 333-6572, get them in person at the Zoo’s membership office or buy them online.
