New owners of Raffe’s Beer Garden to give Memphis beer spot a makeover
Raffe’s Beer Garden is getting a makeover, according to the Memphis Stew blog.
The bar, 3358 Poplar, is closed until Wednesday when it will reopen under new owners.
Goodbye drapes and Christmas lights, says Maggie Sakaan, whose cousin Basma Lucchesi has purchased the business with her husband, Tony Lucchesi. The couple is coming home after a few years on the West Coast and plans to spruce up the space with new decor and an expanded menu.

I actually saw Raffe’s listed on Craiglist some time ago and wondered if anyone ever bought it.
If you’ve never been to Raffe’s, there’s the Beer Garden and then there’s the deli/convenience store up front that boasts an impressive beer selection. If you’re a fan of beer, you’ll want to check out Raffe’s.
