Belgian Beer Tasting at Cafe Society

January 15, 2011 By: mike Category: Craft beer, Events, Memphis

On Feb. 8 at 7 p.m., there will be a “Belgian Beer Tasting” at Cafe Society in Midtown, hosted by “Beer Guy” Steve Barzizza, of Southwestern Distributing.

Belgian Beer TastingCost is $25 per person, plus tax and gratuity, and includes cheese and fruit. Small plates are available for an extra $7 each.

The featured beers are:

Grimbergen Blonde
Duvel Belgian Ale
Westmalle Dubbel
Gouden Carolus Triple
Lindemans Peche

With the exception of Duvel, I’m not familiar the beers, but they all rate highly on BeerAdvocate.

To RSVP, e-mail cafe@society01.comcastbiz.net or call 722-2177.

Has anyone attended one of these tasting events? If so, what are they like?
