Belgian Beer Tasting at Cafe Society
On Feb. 8 at 7 p.m., there will be a “Belgian Beer Tasting” at Cafe Society in Midtown, hosted by “Beer Guy” Steve Barzizza, of Southwestern Distributing.
Cost is $25 per person, plus tax and gratuity, and includes cheese and fruit. Small plates are available for an extra $7 each.
The featured beers are:
• Grimbergen Blonde
• Duvel Belgian Ale
• Westmalle Dubbel
• Gouden Carolus Triple
• Lindemans Peche
With the exception of Duvel, I’m not familiar the beers, but they all rate highly on BeerAdvocate.
To RSVP, e-mail cafe@society01.comcastbiz.net or call 722-2177.
Has anyone attended one of these tasting events? If so, what are they like?

I went to one once, hans solo. I was the youngest person there by prolly 25 yrs. Steve B did a nice job. I’d go again. Probably not solo though.
